Piedmont Family YMCA

We believe that values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for quality of life. Because of the Y community, kids in neighborhoods around the nation are taking more interest in learning and making smarter choices. At the Y, kids learn ABC's, learn to share, learn about sportsmanship and, most importantly, learn how to be themselves. That makes for confident kids today and contributing adults tomorrow.

YMCA Intergenerational Learning Center (YILC)

The YMCA proudly offers infant, toddler, and preschool care and education in conjunction with intergenerational programming. YILC is the first YMCA program in the Commonwealth of Virginia to implement infant care in conjunction with intergenerational programming!

During Child Watch, we offer a stimulating, creative atmosphere that introduces your child to arts & crafts, dramatic play, music, science, and many other age appropriate activities including making friends, learning new skills, and finishing homework; most importantly, children learn how to be their best selves. That makes for confident kids today and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow! This program's development stems from an agreement with Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC).
