Where are you located?
We are located off of Route 29 next to the Comcast building at the intersection of Commonwealth Drive and Westfield Road.   Please see map & directions for more detailled directions.

Where is your pool and fitness center?
At this time, we are a non-facility, program-driven YMCA.  We offer childcare, after school, and various sports programs to area youth.  We are in the process of doing a capital campaign to get a facility with a state-of-the-art pool and fitness center, but at this time, we do not offer a pool or fitness center.

What programs do you offer?
We currently offer childcare, after school, summer camp, CYAC Swim team, basketball, flag football, lacrosse, soccer, cheerleading, dance, gymnastics, wrestling, adult aerobics, and First Aid & CPR.  For complete listings, see our respective program pages. 

How do I register for a program?
You will need to fill out a registration form for the program you are interested in.  Registration forms are available at the YMCA.  You can also call us at 974-YMCA and we can mail you one.  Once you have filled out the registration form, you can either:
1.  Drop it by the YMCA
2.  Mail it in to 442 Westfield Road, Charlottesville, VA  22901
3.  Fax it in to 974-4651
Your are not officially registered until we receive payment.  We accept personal checks, credit cards (Mastercard, VISA, and Discover), as well as cash.

Do programs requre advance registration?
Yes!  Space is limited, so we encourage you to sign up early.

Do you offer refunds?
If the YMCA cancels a program due to low participation, a full refund will be issued.  Refund requests received prior to the start of program session will be offered a full credit valid for one year, to be used toward any other Piedmont Family YMCA program or a refund check can be issued minus an administrative charge of at least $15.00.  Refunds/Credits may not be extended after a program starts.

How am I notified/will I receive a confirmation?
The YMCA DOES NOT send out confirmations.  Once you register for a program, you are in that program unless you hear otherwise.  If you have any questions about what session or what class you are registered for, you may contact the YMCA office.  For team sports, you will be contacted directly by your coach.

How are we notified about weather-related cancellations?
Weather updates will be posted on our website, www.piedmontymca.org or you can call the YMCA hotline at 974-YMCA.
