SCOOTER BASKETBALL: Instructional League

A skill-development program designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of basketball while participating in fun skill exercises, relays, and game-like situations. Parents and children will run through drills and have fun together in this supportive, non-competitive environment. |

ROOKIE BASKETBALL: Transitional League

A transitional league between our Scooter Program and Recreational Program. The first 2-weeks will be instructional and the last 4-weeks will be organized games at rotating sites. The key focus is on learning the game aof basketball as we emphasize "healthy competition." |

RECREATION BASKETALL: League Play

Boys & Girls in Grades 3 - 12 |
| WHAT |
This popular league is designed for beginner to advanced players. Teams are grouped by gender and grade. The school that players attend is the primary cirteria used in forming teams. All players are guaranteed equal playing time. Players will be contacted by their coach to advise them of practice time and location. All participants who register by the deadline, Friday, June 4, 2010 are guaranteed placement. Registrations will be date stamped and placed on teams on a first-come basis. Late registrations will be placed where needed. The YMCA cannot honor all team requests. |
