WHO: 
Boys & Girls Ages 3 - 7

WHAT: 
A skill-development program designed to introduce children ages 3 - 7 to  the basics of soccer in a fun and inviting environment. Parents are encouraged to be actively involved as the parent-child pair learn new skills, run through drills, and have fun together! The emphasis is on learning, confidence building, and socialization, not winning or competing.

PROGRAM GOALS:
- Build strong parent/child relationships.
- Provide a fun, non-competitive atmosphere for children to learn the fundamentals of soccer.
- Encourage parents to volunteer as coach and be actively involved in their child's learning process.
- Relax and have fun!

CLASS DETAILS:
- Session size will vary according to the number of participants. The ideal session size is one coach to 10-12 players.
- Participants will be divided into small teams coached by volunteers.
- Y-Rookies play age-appropriate, modified games to learn the sport of soccer.
- Each session will be 1 hour. Structured learning time will be 45 minutes. The last 15 minutes will be for snacks, team circle and free play time with parents.
- The Y will provide soccer balls, t-shirts, medals, and certificates.
- Children and parents should wear comfortable clothing. Shin-guards and cleats are recommended, but not required.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
Participation in all programs requres advance registration.
All programs have enrollment limits.  Space is limited, so register early.
The YMCA accepts Mastercard, VISA, and Discover Card.
YMCA programs are open to all opeople regardless of age, race, religion, gender, ability level, nation of origin, or financial circumstances.  Financial assistance is available.
The YMCA does not send out confirmations.  Once you register for a program, you are in that program unless you hear otherwise.
