The CYAC Swim Team is dedicated to providing all swimmers in the greater Charlottesville/Albemarle County area of Virginia a positive and healthy swimming experience. We are proud of the level of experience and knowledge of our coaches and we offer the levels of training and a flexible practice schedule to meet the individual needs of our swimmers. 
CYAC offers the greatest range of competitive swimming opportunities in the area, both USA Swimming and YMCA Swimming meets! In addition, fall, winter, spring and summer practice and meet schedules are available. 
We challenge all persons involved in the swim team program to demonstrate the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. We stress trying your best, achieving goals, team effort, sportsmanship, and having fun.

The YMCA offers financial assistance by confidential application to those who cannot afford the full cost of program fees and membership.

  February 25, 2010:  Junior 2 practices will be extended 15 minutes on Monday and Wednesday beginning March 1.  No changes for other groups.  See March practice schedule.
  
  January 3, 2010:  Happy New Year and CONGRATULATIONS to all CYAC swimmers who competed in our dual meet win yesterday.  Special kudos to the 30 CYAC'ers who have earned Doc's holiday practice attendance "special treat" award,to be distributed at practice Monday evening!  REMINDER - Special practice hours Wed., Jan. 6 (4 to 6 p.m.) and NO Saturday AM practice, January 9, due to LY invitational meet.  We have updated the CYAC All-Time Top 10 Times; check them out on the "About CYAC" page.
